Grief, Loss & Separation

It is hard to define these feelings but they all have the common factor of Loss. It is a loss of something that has gone before, which we are either accustomed to, is familiar or is cherished in some way. Therefore, its absence creates a negative reaction to a greater or lesser degree. There are certain stages of grief that are unavoidable and must be experienced to truly emerge from the other side. Each of these stages must be dealt with and we can help by talking them through, sharing experiences and providing coping mechanisms for the really hard times. Although you cannot rush these stages, we can help should you have trouble moving on from a particular stage and are in effect ‘stuck’. Everyone suffers forms of grief and we are here to help make the experience as untraumatic as possible.
